Law Enforcement - Hathcock Sniper School This sniper school is a 11-day, 90-hour (minimum) school which is directed to officers currently assigned to a law enforcement special response unit and functioning as a rifle marksman. Contains classroom instruction blocks in: Sniper personality profile, sniper equipment, sniper training, marksmanship, data book, care and cleaning, sniper movement, concealment, camouflage, ballistics, range finding, range card, log book and field sketch. In the field and practice application areas of instruction are: Marksmanship, movement, concealment, observation, range finding, field sketch and range card, and care and cleaning. Course Objectives
Equipment Requirements Each student attending the counter sniper school should bring all their operational gear to include the following, if available:
Note: The weather can change rapidly. It may run from the lower 40’s to upper 80’s. There is always the possibility of rain. You will need a good rain suit, as we have found that a poncho will not keep you dry with the type of training we will be doing. Be forewarned and bring the proper clothes for the 2 weeks. |
